What size of business does Helvara typically work with?
We work with small and mid-sized Malaysian businesses, typically those with an established customer base who are reviewing or refining how they price. We are most useful to companies that have been operating for at least a year and have enough data to work from.
Do I need to prepare anything before we start?
Not necessarily. We begin with a short intake conversation where we work out what information would be helpful. For the Pricing Health Check, we typically need your current pricing list and some basic margin data. For the Framework engagement, we involve you more deeply in gathering relevant context over the first week.
How does the retainer arrangement work in practice?
The retainer runs for three to six months with scheduled sessions — usually fortnightly or monthly depending on pace. Between sessions, you can send questions and we will respond with working notes. The retainer is designed for continuity, so it suits businesses that are actively adjusting their commercial model rather than completing a one-off project.
Is this financial advice? Does Helvara hold any financial licences?
No — our work is commercial pricing and revenue structure advisory, which does not require financial services licensing in Malaysia. We do not advise on investments, securities, insurance or regulated financial products. If your situation calls for licensed financial advice, we will say so clearly.
Can we start with the Health Check and move to the Framework later?
Yes, and this is a common path. The Health Check often surfaces enough to clarify whether a full Framework engagement is worthwhile. Some clients find the Check is all they need. Others use it as a foundation for the next stage. We will always be straightforward about what makes sense for your situation.
How are fees handled and when is payment due?
Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit. For fixed-scope engagements we invoice in two parts: half at commencement, half on delivery. Retainer fees are invoiced monthly. We confirm all commercial terms in writing before any work begins.
