OUR STORY

A Practice Built Around One Question

Helvara started from a straightforward observation: many capable Malaysian businesses were leaving value on the table — not through carelessness, but simply because pricing is rarely the thing people feel most confident about. It tends to be set once and left alone, or adjusted reactively when pressure builds.

We were founded to address that directly. Our work is commercial advisory in the most practical sense: we sit with your actual numbers, your market and your customers, and help you arrive at a pricing structure that reflects what you genuinely offer. We do not bring a generic model and apply it wholesale. We ask the right questions first.

The name Helvara is drawn from the Old Swedish word for a scale — an instrument of balance and measure. That framing guides how we approach every engagement: weighing the evidence carefully before arriving at a considered position.

To help businesses in Malaysia and the wider region build pricing structures and revenue models they can explain clearly, defend under scrutiny, and refine as conditions change — without relying on guesswork or short-term fixes.

Our Base

We are based in The Gardens, Mid Valley City — a central location that allows us to meet clients across Kuala Lumpur without difficulty. We also work remotely with clients across Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak.

Written Deliverables

Every engagement produces written materials — notes, frameworks or summaries — so findings do not live only in a conversation.

Confidentiality

Client information and commercial data are treated with strict discretion. We do not share client details or reference client work without explicit permission.

Defined Scope

We agree the scope of each engagement in writing before work begins. Any changes to scope are discussed openly and agreed before they affect the fee.

Direct Communication

You communicate directly with the person doing the work. There are no account managers between you and the advisor handling your engagement.

Transparent Fees

All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit and confirmed in writing. Invoicing is straightforward: split on commencement and delivery for fixed scopes, monthly for retainers.

Data Protection

We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia) in our handling of any personal data provided during engagements.
